Privacy policy
This policy explains which personal data we collect through obri.tech, why, where it is stored, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch implementation act (UAVG).
1. Who we are
Obri is a startup based in the Netherlands, run by its two founders. We decide how and why personal data from this website is processed, which makes us the controller. You can reach us at viktoria@obri.tech.
2. What we collect
Visiting the site. This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising tags or third-party embeds. Fonts and images are served from our own server, so no other company sees your visit. Our server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser type) to keep the site running and secure. These logs are kept for at most 30 days and then deleted automatically.
Contacting us. When you fill in a form on this site or email us, we receive what you send: typically your name, email address, which group you belong to (for example family member or care professional) and your message. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing. If your message contains information about your health or someone else's, we process it only because you chose to give it to us, and only to respond to you.
3. Why we use it
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to you and to contact you about what you asked. We do not use them for marketing by others, we do not sell or share them for anyone else's purposes, and we do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
The legal basis is your consent when you send a form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and Article 9(2)(a) for any health information you include) and our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us; we then delete your data.
4. Where your data is stored
Form submissions are stored on our own server, hosted at a data centre in the European Union, and sent to our mailboxes. We do not use third-party form services. If a mailbox provider we use processes data outside the EU, this happens under the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Only the two founders have access to the server and the mailboxes. We protect data with appropriate technical and organisational measures and do not pass it on to anyone else unless the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- Technical server logs: at most 30 days.
- Messages and form submissions: until we have answered you and the contact has ended, and in any case no longer than 24 months after your last message. You can ask us to delete them earlier at any time.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or hand it over in a portable format, and you can object to processing. Email viktoria@obri.tech; we respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
7. Children
This site is not directed at people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us data, email us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We will update this page when our processing changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
Terms of use
1. Scope
These terms apply to your use of the website obri.tech. By using the site you accept them.
2. Information only
The content of this site is general information about Obri. It is not medical advice and does not replace advice from a doctor or care professional. Obri is not a medical device.
3. No offer or contract
Sending us a form or an email does not create an agreement, reserve a product or oblige either of us to anything. Any service or participation is agreed separately in writing.
4. Intellectual property
The text, design, images, logo and the name "Obri" on this site belong to Obri or are used with permission. You may view the site and share links to it. You may not copy or reuse its content commercially without our written permission.
5. Accuracy and liability
We do our best to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete or error-free, and its content may change. We accept no liability for damage arising from the use of this site, except where Dutch law does not allow this to be excluded.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes will be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to another court.
